Cauliflower with mango dal



 

Ingredients:

Moog dal ½ cup
 Cauliflower 30 gm
Turmeric powder 1 TSP
Cumin powder 1 TSP
Red chilly powder 1 TSP
Chopped onion ½ cup
Garlic paste 1 tsp
Tomato 1 medium size
Whole green chilly 2-3 pieces
Chopped cilantro 1 TSP
Chopped garlic ½ TSP
Whole cumin ½ tsp
Oil as required
Salt as required

Procedure:

Fry moog dal dry. Soak the dal in water for 15-20 min. Wash the dal and take in a pot. Add 2 cup of water, ½ TSP salt, turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chilly powder and whole green chilly respectively. Cook it for 15-20 min or until it become soft. In the mean time cut cauliflower in ½ inch and tomato in 4 pieces. Now heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onion and fry them
until it become soft. Then add the garlic paste, tomato, rest of all spicy and stir them to mix. Cook it until oil become come up. Then add cauliflower and stir it carefully.  Then add the cooked dal in the pan and cook it until the cauliflower become soft. Spread the chopped cilantro on the top of the dal and cover the pan. Wait for few min. Turn of the heat.  Your Cauliflower with mango dal is ready to serve. Enjoy with ruti or plain rice.
